No one is free from the storms in life. At times, we are
confronted with problems when we least expect these. It is difficult as the mind is clouded with
worry, confusion and anxiety. “What will be the outcome of these?” A negative
mantra consumes the whole being; the burden becomes heavier from
moment-to-moment.
When life-storms do come, as they will, I find refuge in
prayer. When dark thoughts attack, I counter with prayers to the Father, to the
Son, to the Holy Spirit, to Mary, to the saints. Grateful for raising me up when I had fallen
down in the past, I am confident that the Lord will not abandon me.
He tells: "Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
